Bridgerton & Beyond: The Factory Live 12 April 2026.

The genial, relaxed surroundings of The Factory Live played host to a LAMA production, Bridgerton & Beyond showcasing an assembled 4 String Quartet, on the afternoon of 12 April 2026.

For one evening only, prepare yourself to be transported into another time, as LAMA Productions create a world full of mystery, romance and excitement for your enjoyment. Their talented string-quartet will perform and celebrate the sounds of Bridgerton and other Regency television shows such as Downton Abbey, Pride & Prejudice and more, bringing those emotive moments from the shows to life!

The Lama production team had dressed the venue beautifully, with flickering candles, table cloths and booklets about the afternoon. Someone had gone to a lot of trouble to put together the look and feel for this performance. And, it worked beautifully.

The Quartet, took their places and settled into their chairs, it was made up with four fairly local musicians:

The opening was the main “Theme from Bridgerton”. A beautiful working of that music was delivered and indeed set the tone for the rest of the performance.

It was wonderful observing this quartet as they played and truly lifted the music off the page. Their chemistry and goals are admirable; their performance was breath-taking. They were a well-balanced, tightly synchronized ensemble.

Bridgerton used many well-known and contemporary songs and the Quartet set about with their versions. From the series, and included was “Bad Guy” – Billie Eilish, “Wildest Dreams” – Taylor Swift, “Enchanted” – (Taylor Swift), “DJ Got Us Fallin’ In Love” – Usher ft. Pitbull, “Material Girl” – Madonna, “Halo” – Beyonce and more!

The string arrangements of modern pop songs and movie soundtracks were incredible. A short half time interlude gave me a chance to go and chat with the musicians. We chatted about the music heard so far, and I asked if my camera was a distraction. I am usually in a pit of a venue taking photos of rock bands, I had no idea my camera was so noisy! They confirmed they didn’t hear it, Phew!

The tone, phrasing and dynamic balances were stunningly good, while flawless intonations and controlled occasional staccato’s and vibrato’s kept the textures open across the varied set list, allowing the fullest appreciation from the Factory audience. This was evident from the applause after each movement.

This was a finely-tuned ensemble, they came together, seemed to be enjoying themselves and made for a totally convincing afternoon performance. They set about creating an intimate, romantic and yes a magical atmosphere.

Seriously, who can resist the memorable re workings of such classic tunes such as “Yellow” – Cold Play, “Eleanor Rigby” – The Beatles, “Dancing On My Own” – Robyn and even “Girls Like You” – Maroon 5 as they were dropped into the set.

They closed with “thank u, next” – Ariana Grande and “ABCDEFU” – Gayle. The audience gave the musicians a lively round of applause as they left the stage.

The commitment, artistry and pure unbridled talent of this quartet was just delightful to hear. There are so many songs that could be included, I think someone has stumbled upon a winning formula. The audience were asked on the way out if they enjoyed the performance and would they come back for another one, I saw the tally sheet and it was 100% positive. Well deserved LAMA productions!

What a wonderful end to the week, coffee and cake on arrival, full bar and some real quality time with quality musicians and quality music!
