Snide are a female fronted punk rock outfit straight out of Maidstone. Chugging beats, singalongs with illicit choruses…..
Lou – Vocals
Rob – Guitar and Backing Vocals
Nobby – Bass and Backing Vocals
Alan Galaxy- Drums
First time out to Brighton for these guys. They had just returned from a short whistlestop tour in Europe which had gone really well for the band as Alan and Lou told me. The last night of the tour was the icing on the cake as the band were demanded to give extra encores before they left the stage! And the band have a new single waiting which is a cracker of a tune, and I am really excited about.
Lou, who claims to be a miserable bitch during one of the songs, is actually far from it and a delight to talk to. She delivers a great vocal – with a quiet presence ranging to ear shattering heights – just perfect for these guys. She works hard and takes total ownership of the stage. Nobby on bass and Rob on guitars have their work cut out. Some serious riffs and bass lines pull the band together with Alan at the back laying down a full on drum support. An exciting and unique sound is what greets you when you go see SNIDE!
SNIDE: Miserable Bitch – LIVE!
They were loud, oh yes!, fast and on point. Some great songs in the set and I had waited a long time to see these guys play. It was worth the wait – they totally nailed it. The sizeable audience enjoyed the punk rock n roll as song after song nailed us to the walls and floor.
Some of the songs included, the above track in the video – Miserable Bitch, Recluse, I don’t Want You, Viva, Disorder and more. The band got the assembled to shout “F*** OFF” during the penultimate track of the night – a great song brought to life by the fired up crowd and the band. Just great fun and enjoyed every second.
SNIDE were the guests of The UK SUBS and everyone was up for a group shot – and here it is.
